2015 Scion FR-S | Making the Daily Commute Fun Again

Standing out from the crowd, the 2015 Scion FR-S offers an aerodynamic silhouette and race-inspired driving dynamics. Hinting at the Scion’s sporty personality, the name FR-S, which stands for “front engine, rear-wheel drive, sports.” For 2015, the Scion FR-S can be had in standard or Monogram trim levels.

Weight reduction is an important goal for the performance oriented coupe, with all models featuring a highly rigid lightweight body, aluminum hood, resin fuel tank, and lightweight 17” aluminum wheels. Inside the 2015 Scion FR-S occupants will find a leather-wrapped steering, while adding to the sportiness of the design are front sport bucket seats. Conveniently designed, the Scion FR-S features keyless entry, flat folding rear seats, plus power windows and locks. Your entertainment needs will be met with an 8-speaker AM/FM/CD/MP3/WMA sound system, which is also equipped with an audio auxiliary input jack, USB audio input, Automatic Sound Levelizer System (ASL), plus Bluetooth® capability. It also features a 6.1-inch Display Audio.

‘Fun to drive’ is the focus of the 2015 Scion FR-S. To accomplish this goal, Scion outfitted the FR-S with the world’s only flat, boxer engine in a front-engine, rear-wheel drive configuration. This setup results in a nearly perfect front-to-rear weight ratio for exemplary performance and handling. The flat four-cylinder engine can be coupled to either a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic transmission.
