The Prius v and Tacoma bring honour to the Toyota name by adding some more ecoENERGY awards to further support their reputation for being industry leaders in environmentally committed vehicles.
“From the time the first Prius went on sale about 15 years ago, it has been synonymous with automotive environmental leadership,” said Stephen Beatty, Managing Director and Chief Environmental Officer at Toyota Canada Inc. The Toyota Prius v has been confirmed as Canada’s most fuel-efficient wagon and has won its second ecoENERGY award. This will be the 13th year in a row that a Prius vehicle has won this award.
The 2013 Toyota Tacoma continues Toyota’s long-standing tradition of excellence in compact pickup trucks by winning its third ecoENERGY award for being the most fuel efficient pickup truck. This award has been given by Natural Resources Canada’s Office of Energy Efficiency.
