Since 2007, the GAZOO racing team backed by Toyota Motor Corporation has been taking part in the 24 Hours Nürburgring endurance race since 2007. Toyota hopes that by allowing their personnel the opportunity to take part in the this car race they will be able to turn out even better idea and vehicles for the everyday market.
GAZOO will enter three vehicles into the 24 Hours Nürburgring endurance race, which will take place in Germany from June 19 through June 22. They are the Lexus “LFA”, Toyota “86” and new car based on the LFRA known as the “GAZOO Racing Lexus LFA Code X”.
“The GAZOO Racing Lexus LFA Code X has been created to enable study of future sports car technologies.” according to www.toyota.ca. Some changes to the LFA Code X include a full carbon frame, finely tuned torque and system output, and a 5.3 litre engine for even better displacement.
