Toyota Canada has always been the leader of cutting edge innovation. So where has Toyota been getting their inspiration? Perhaps it is from the young artists who participated in the 2014 Toyota Dream Car Art Contest. From environmentally friendly designs to fun design concepts, young Canadians showed their creative side in this the second annual event.
“We were very impressed by the creativity and inspiration of Canadian youth. It’s inspiring to see how these talented young artists combine their love for art with their dreams of how to make our world a better place,” said Seiji Ichii, President and CEO, Toyota Canada Inc.
The 2014 Toyota Dream Car Art Contest winners go on to represent Canada in the global competition. This year nine artists were chosen to compete against the top entries of more than 70 countries representing the Toyota brand. Winners of the global competition will then be invited to an all-expenses paid trip to Japan to attend an awards ceremony held this August. In 2013 a Canadian was amongst those selected to receive this honour.
On April 23rd Gateway Toyota Scion awarded a very excited Natasha Hendra with a 7-inch 8GB tablet device (with Wi-Fi) on behalf of Toyota Canada for her drawing in the Under 8 category, titled Natasha’s Helper Car. Best of luck in the global competition Natasha!
