Toyota is Taking a New Look at Safety

Toyota Safety Innovations

Toyota takes safety seriously, and proves this with its latest technology that will be included in their future vehicles. Toyota unveiled some of their latest designs at the fourth annual Toyota Advanced Safety Seminar in Ann Arbor, Michigan, US.

The seminar provided an in-depth look at what Toyota is doing to enhance safety in all of its models. Technology such as a mapping system that tracks objects day and night that are on the road and an advanced support system for drivers were just of some of the reveals.

Automated Highway Driving Assist

This technology was unveiled in Japan in 2013 and works with the driver to maintain safety. It includes multiple features to help prevent collisions. For instance, the Dynamic Radar Cruise Control helps maintain a safe distance from other vehicles. Lane Trace Control helps prevent drifting across lanes by detecting lane markers on the roads. Predictive and Interactive HMI is designed to keep the driver focused and safe. Advanced technologies will be able to alert the driver if his hands are off the wheel or eyes are off the road for an extended amount of time.

Many of these technologies will begin to be available in the next generation of Toyota vehicles. The company will also continue working on developing new advances for a safer driving experience.
